Worktop Overlays

Very easily! As all of our kitchen and bathroom worktops are made of engineered stone overlays, every single piece is manufactured and cut to the exact dimensions of your space. Unlike using solid slabs of natural stone, we can make incredibly precise cuts in order to fit around sinks and hobs, or even any special features your home may have.

Engineered stone overlays like our granite, quartz and recycled glass overlay worktops are precision manufactured for quality, beauty, and durability, so you can expect to pay for excellent quality. However, they could cost a lot less than you might think and occupy the sweet spot we like to call ‘affordable’ luxury. Also, you’ll save money just by choosing overlay worktops as you won’t need to pay for expensive removal of your old worktops, or all the other extra costs which come with your kitchen being out of action. The exact price will vary depending on your space, as all our overlay worktops are made exactly to measure. Our design and installations specialists would be more than happy to give you a free, no obligation quotation for any job, big or small.

You can see our full range of granite overlay worktops right here on our website, or also see them in person at any of our showrooms located all around the UK. We can also arrange for one of our design experts to bring some to your home so you can see how they look in your kitchen with a free, no obligation home consultation.

Absolutely! Quartz overlays are a stunning addition to your home which are available in a huge variety of styles to suit any design. Whether you choose a more classical marble effect or go for something which sparkles with its own inner light, quartz overlays can totally transform how you feel about the most important rooms in your home. Much more affordable than solid slabs of stone, but even more durable and long-lasting, quartz overlays are an investment which will pay off for many years to come.

Yes! In fact, that’s our speciality. In the vast majority of cases, as long as your existing worktop in still solid and structurally sound, we can install all of our overlay worktops directly on top of your existing ones. If you’re not sure your existing worktops are suitable for overlays – though, they almost certainly are! – we recommend contacting your nearest Granite & TREND Transformations showroom.

Great quality is never cheap, but our quartz and granite overlay worktops could be a lot more affordable than you think – especially as you won’t need to pay to have your old surfaces removed or fork out all the extra expenses of having your kitchen out of action for weeks on end. The exact price will vary depending on your space, as all our overlay worktops are made exactly to measure. Our design and installations specialists would be more than happy to give you a free, no obligation quotation for any job, big or small.

Granite overlay worktops have an unmistakable natural elegance that can create a stunning new look in any space. They are also a great choice for busy rooms such as kitchen and bathrooms, as they are particularly resistant to damage and spills, as well as being very easy and cost-effective to maintain.

Our granite overlay worktops have the same look as stone cut from select quarries but are made with up to 72% post-consumer recycled materials, meaning they have considerably less impact on the environment.

Quartz overlay worktops from our etherium® By E-Stone range are easy to install, very long-lasting, and look fantastic. Arguably one of the most visually elegant and versatile of overlay worktops, quartz overlays come in a huge variety of colours, styles, and finishes, meaning you can use them to create a range of new looks for your kitchen – from the rustic and timeless, through to the sleek and modern. As they are made from up to 72% recycled materials rather than sourced through wasteful quarry extraction, they are the greener choice for your home, too!

Overlay worktops in your kitchen or bathroom not only look and feel great, but they are also hard-wearing and durable. Made from engineered stone, our etherium® By E-Stone surfaces are both beautiful and functional, combining a timeless elegance with affordable luxury which is unmatched. On top of that, they are incredibly easy to install, too! As they are made to measure off-site and can bond directly on top of your existing surfaces, there’s no need for expensive and messy removal of your old surfaces.

Our surfaces are made with a special polymer resin called ForeverSeal®.  This means that not only are not only heat, stain, and scratch-resistant, but also nonporous so no liquid or air can pass through them.
Our worktops also have built-in cutting-edge Microban®  anti-bacterial technology. Microban® is the global leader in antimicrobial technology targeting the invisible microbes that contaminate surfaces. This technology does not wash off, or wear away, and so continues to help protect you and your family against bacteria for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our etherium™ By E-Stone surfaces have always been nonporous, mould, mildew, heat, stain and scratch-resistant. Now with Microban® – they’re better and cleaner than ever,  making them very hygienic and low maintenance.

The sink is simply removed and reinstalled after the granite overlay is fitted.

Our stain, scratch, and heat-resistant surfaces are built to take the rough with the smooth. The diamond-polished finish may look and feel as smooth as glass, but it’s tough enough to resist everyday impacts from heavy pans and cast-iron cookware. Read more about our manufacturing process.

Yes, our worktops can be installed in new fitted kitchens and offer endless design possibilities, such as waterfall ends, large seamless island units, varying edge depths and bespoke worktop dimensions. In fact we can supply everything including the cabinets, so you don’t need to co-ordinate with lots of different suppliers! And, as with similar engineered stone products, our product will be mounted on an MDF substrate or water-resistant construction board, before being fitted onto the kitchen cabinets. We can also incorporate splashbacks into the kitchen design, using our worktop material or authentic Italian glass mosaic tiles. Find out more about our kitchen & features here.

We can go over almost any worktop if the existing surface is in reasonable condition. However, we do not advise going over timber surfaces as this material swells and moves, which dis-lodges the edging of the granite overlay. Do not fear, though, as we can replace your timber worktops with a slightly different installation process. Our qualified specialist installers carefully remove your existing wood worktops and replace them with a moisture-resistant substrate. We then apply our etherium® By E-Stone worktop, directly over that substrate.

No! The ‘top that fits on top’ is made to fit exactly over existing kitchen worktops, so there is no need to remove them. We will also remove and re-install your sink and hob unit, so they sit properly on your new worktop, although we can supply new fittings if you prefer. The same or contrasting worktop material can also be extended upwards as splashbacks, over the existing tiles, or we can install our unique mosaic collection, for an eye-catching finishing touch.

Our Italian granite, quartz and recycled glass work surfaces look fabulous and offer a host of advantages over natural granite, stone, solid synthetic and other work surfaces. The diamond-polished finish is simple to wipe clean, with no special detergents or cleaners and no regular sealing required. These tough, hardwearing surfaces are non-porous, highly resistant to staining with coffee, wine, olive oil, vinegar and cosmetics.

Replacement Doors

One of our technicians will come to your home and take all the measurements. This will include not only the doors themselves, but also all of your panels, cornice and pelmets so that we can create the perfect fit of replacement kitchen doors for your home.

That entirely depends on the number of replacement kitchen doors you need, as well as exactly which ones you choose from our extensive range. Just as every kitchen is different, so is every kitchen renovation project. However, replacing your kitchen doors is a very affordable and cost effective way to create an exciting new look. During our consultation process, we will be able to create a no obligation cost estimate and can offer you a variety of options to suit your budget.

Usually, yes. If your kitchen cabinets themselves are still in good condition, there’s no need to lumber yourself with the extra cost and disruption of removing and replacing the whole unit when replacement kitchen doors can make them look brand new. You’ll be amazed at what a huge difference this small change can make to your space.

This is all part of our installation process for all replacement kitchen cabinet doors. We want your new doors to be a perfect fit, so we will remove your old hinges along with your existing doors when our expert team comes to your house to install the new ones.

The best place to start is right here on our website! We have a fantastic range of replacement kitchen cabinet doors to suit any style or design, and there is a huge selection of colours and finishes to choose from. You can even select new handles to go with them. The only real challenge might be narrowing down our selection to your final choice, but fortunately we can help with that, too! You can see a selection of replacement kitchen doors at a showroom near you, arrange for a consultation with one of our team, or even use our 3D Kitchen Design Tool to start visualising the perfect replacement kitchen doors for you.

Very easy! The first is to choose a style, colour and finish for your replacement kitchen doors which will create the new look you are going for. After that, one of our technicians can come to your home to measure your existing kitchen cabinets doors, which we will then make to order in our workshop. Usually, your order will arrive ready for installation within 12 days and our team can set a time to come and remove your old doors, and install the replacement cabinet doors of your choice. As your new doors are made specifically to fit your space, the installation is very quick.

Yes, of course, and many of our customers choose exactly that. If you’re already happy with everything else in your kitchen, there is absolutely no need to change it when something as simple as replacement kitchen doors can make all the difference. We’re more than happy to help you with any job that makes the heart of your home a more beautiful place – no matter how big or small.

It’s a very simple process where we come into your property to measure your existing doors, and then create new ones to your exact specifications. Once they are complete, we will bring your new replacement kitchen doors directly to your home, remove the old ones, and install the new ones in their place.

Absolutely! In fact, replacement kitchen cabinet doors are one of our most popular kitchen renovation options. Not only is it a quick, easy and affordable way to give your kitchen a fresh look, but they can also become the basis of a whole new style and design. You can choose to match your replacement kitchen doors with your existing worktops and other surfaces, or go for a whole new colour and finish to create an exciting new aesthetic.

Yes. As long as your cupboards themselves are in good condition, you can enjoy replacement kitchen cupboard doors in a whole variety of colours and finishes. Just like all our other surfaces, replacement kitchen cabinet doors are a great way to give your kitchen a makeover without all the mess and hassle of starting over.

In short no. With replacement kitchen doors, all we need is a little space around the hinges to install your new doors which means that you don’t need to empty your cabinets. However, we will also need full access to any cabinets that have matching end panels and the drawers if they are being replaced and our project manager will discuss that with you when we do the site survey & measure.

Yes, we can, and many of our customers choose to transform their homes with new doors to go with their new worktops! The installation is normally carried out at the same time, by the same fitters, ensuring less disruption and delay. Again, our doors and drawer fronts are made to measure off-site, minimising dust and debris, then fitted efficiently, alongside the worktops. By choosing both Granite & TREND Transformations replacement worktops and doors, you are preserving the still serviceable cabinet carcases and interior fittings, which can represent 40 per cent of the cost of a new fitted kitchen, so by refacing you could be saving even more money. Bathrooms

The first step is always to discuss with you exactly what you want done, and how we can go about achieving it. This will include everything from colours and materials to special features. After that, we can take some measurements and put together a detailed quote for you. This is completely free, and there is absolutely no obligation at any stage. You can change your mind as often as you like, and we can help you build the right renovation package. After all, it’s got to be perfect!

We are committed making your bathroom renovation as fast, easy, and stress-free as possible by managing every single stage of the process, from design through to manufacture and installation. We do everything in-house, guaranteeing you the highest possible quality of products and service throughout, and a project management team you can trust completely with one of the most important rooms in your home.

We realise this is a major project for you, and any home renovation can be a source of stress, so we have designed our process to be as simple and straightforward as possible. We start with a free, in-home consultation, of course, to make sure we understand your vision, and can help you choose the right colours, styles, and materials. We’ll give you an in-depth quote, and once you’re happy with everything, you can pay a deposit so that we can get started on the work.

After that, we’ll draw up a more detailed template of what your new bathroom will look like and how we will turn it into a reality, giving you the chance to give final confirmation of your design choices. From there, we can start fabricating your new materials and cutting them to fit your bathroom. As we do this off-site, we can then arrive to your home with everything ready to install – sometimes in as little as one day!

When it comes to deciding how your new bathroom renovation will look, we recommend you start with choosing a colour scheme. Have a look around online and in magazines for some inspiration and consider starting a scrap book or mood board to collate your ideas and see what works. Once you have your colours selected, you can think about what worktops, flooring and tiling will work best to create that new look. We’re used to working with people at all different stages of their design process, so feel free to reach out to us for some help and advice!

Yes, absolutely! As long as they’re done right, of course. How your bathroom looks is a major factor in how buyers perceive the value of your home. After all, it’s one of the most important rooms in your house! Valuers and estate agents know this too, so you can expect a newly renovated bathroom to have a very positive impact on the value of your home. Some experts estimated it can add as much as 4-5%, and an old, tatty looking bathroom is one of the biggest factors in lowering home value.

You should start by having a good look at everything already in place in your bathroom. What works, and what doesn’t? What would you like to change? Do you want a completely new look, or will a few key changes make all the difference? What kind of budget do you plan on? We realise this is a lot to think about, so if you’re having any trouble deciding you can always speak to one of our team, or even get a design expert round for a free, no obligation consultation to help you draw up some options.

Bathroom renovations are a big deal, so whether you are planning a complete transformation, or just a quick refresh, it is very important to plan ahead. First thing is to really think about how much you need to be done. Do you need to completely replace your surfaces or will refacing them with an overlay worktop work just as well, if not better? Do you want to change your cupboards entirely, or just use replacement cabinet doors to create a new look? Once you have that sorted, you can start thinking about things like budget and décor choices and reaching out to professionals like us to give you some valuable advice on turning your dreams into a reality.

Our expert consultants will be able to give you a free, no obligation quote so that you can see your options and very clearly understand the costs involved. As all our surfaces, tiles and doors are made-to-measure to exactly fit each space, you won’t get any nasty surprises or price hikes during installation.

The first step is to ensure that you are only doing the work which you really need to do. We often think about renovation as removing the old and installing the new, but if your surfaces and fixtures are still solid, there is no need for expensive and messy construction when you can simply reface them instead using our overlay worktops. The same goes for your cabinets – using replacement cabinet doors instead of replacing the entire cupboard unit not only looks great, but can save you a great deal of money, too.

This depends on what you want done, and how your bathroom is currently laid out. As we usually reface surfaces, rather than rip them out, a bathroom renovation with Granite & TREND Transformations will likely cost a lot less than a project which unnecessarily rips out all your old fixtures and fittings.

You get what you pay for with a home renovation. While our premium materials are certainly not at the cheap end of the market, they occupy the “affordable luxury” sweet spot which guarantees you a high-end look without the high costs of specialist, boutique renovators. Our expert consultants will be able to give you a free, no obligation quote so that you can see your options and very clearly understand the costs involved.

Installation Process

All our fitters are fully qualified, accredited and trained specifically in the use of our unique product & installation system. Find out more about how we work.

Hopefully, not as long as you might think! A typical installation job can be done in as little as one day, with glass mosaics adding perhaps an extra half-day. As there is no need to rip out of existing work surfaces, and the new fittings are cut and made to size in our own workshop, the dust, mess and household disruption are kept to an absolute minimum. Our lead-time from you placing an order is normally 2 to 4 weeks. Find out more about how we work.

We can go over almost any worktop if the existing surface is in reasonable condition. However, we do not advise going over timber surfaces as this material swells and moves, which dis-lodges the edging of the granite overlay. The same or contrasting worktop material can also be extended upwards as splashbacks, over the existing tiles, or we can install our unique mosaic collection, for an eye-catching finishing touch.

We pride ourselves on offering great value for money and our work surfaces are covered by a 10-year warranty. As with any bespoke installation, it’s difficult to give an accurate quotation without viewing the work required. We work hard to remain competitive on price, but we do not market cheap makeovers, instead design, quality and service are the main hallmarks of our brand.

Miscellaneous

Occasionally, when removing and replacing end panels, pelmets and cornicing on your kitchen cabinets, unpainted wall surfaces and minor imperfections may be exposed. Painting and decorating are not services we provide and therefore are not included within the quote. We recommend, therefore, that you leave any final coat of painting and touching up until after your kitchen makeover has been fully installed.

Every single makeover creates some dust and dirt, although our Specialist Installers do their utmost to minimise disruption. We protect floors and other important items with the liberal use of dust sheets. Our Installers use specialist dust extractors which are connected to their power tools, safely capturing 99.995% of potentially harmful airborne dust. They also clean up after themselves, although some dust is unavoidable given the nature of Home Improvement practices.

Yes, Stainless steel is a durable material that can withstand very rough handling, but hard or sharp objects can scratch this material. If you want to keep the surface of the sink free of any defects, be careful when handling similar objects. The sink is always scratched when washing dishes. Scratching the sink is a common natural consequence of use. However, by using manufactures specialist cleaning paste, fine scratches can be polished, and the stainless steel will eventually build up a patina over the years with the scratch marks becoming less evident.

Virtually the only limit to the possibilities in and around your home, is your imagination. Our work surfaces, glass mosaics and replacement doors are equally suitable for Kitchens & Bathrooms or other hardworking rooms in the house. We can reface bathroom vanity units, storage cupboards, shower surrounds and bath panels. We can also upgrade utility rooms and laundries, installing new worktops and over worn-out work surfaces and replacing base and wall unit doors and drawer fronts. Outside the home, we can offer makeovers for garden sheds, caravans, motorhomes, horseboxes, houseboats, motor yachts and much more.

Warranty

All of our installations come with a 10-year warranty to give you extra protection and peace of mind. Find out more here.
