Oct 4th, 2022 The team at TREND Transformations Maidstone were recently contacted by a customer wanting to give their 20 year old kitchen a face lift. During the initial discussions with the team the customer stated that they were sick of the lack of storage and wanted to update the existing worktops. Space was key in this project, the existing kitchen lacked storage space and worktop space. With the use of Shaker Doors and a new kitchen Island the team at TREND transformations Maidstone were able to match the customers vision.
How did they find us?
TREND Transformations Maidstone were recommended to the customer by a friend who had used TREND Transformations to drastically update their kitchen. The customer saw first hand the work carried out by the team and was keen to use the Maidstone team for their upcoming project.
Designing the Perfect Kitchen
During the planning discussions the customer told the team that they wanted the existing kitchen space to be lighter, with more storage. The customer was also very interested in incorporating our marble effect worktops with grey veining into the designs.
The customer wanted to use the new space designed by TREND Transformations Maidstone to entertain their whole family. During the process the team created more spaces in the kitchen and dining room. This would allow the customer to work on their new kitchen island and express themselves with a new gin bar.
Initially the customer wanted a single worktop that would run through the whole kitchen, but the design team suggested having two different worktops. The customer loved this plan.
The customer opted for indigo blue doors and Hydra white worktops as they felt this combination complimented one and other. We also used Subway tiles for the splashback.
With the planning complete all that was left was bringing this kitchen redesign to life.
The Finished Product
Steve the project lead was on hand to listen to any feedback and thoughts from the customers that were not initially thought of during the planning process. The team got to work installing the new worktops and replacement doors with the final product below.
I loved working with Trend, from the designer at the start, the fitters and then the after care – they were amazing at each stage.
Several years later, and the kitchen is still like new, its quality and professional fitting means everything is still perfect and I still LOVE IT.
