A customer recently visited the Trend Transformations team at our Maidstone show room with a brief for a kitchen makeover project. The customer had a fairly new kitchen, only 5 years old, however, they thought it looked bland, with all the cabinet doors being plain white and made from fairly basic melamine square edged doors. They also wanted to upgrade the worktop from laminate to quartz and to add a new designer glass tiled splashback.
The customer visited the Maidstone showroom and saw our unique top on top concept, and then learned that we could also help them with new made to measure replacement kitchen doors. The ease of the installation concept, the choice of colours and different high-end luxurious materials available were a high priority when making the choice.
Picking out the Products
The customers were happy with the original kitchen layout, but they wanted their kitchen to exude class and luxury. They wanted a two-tone kitchen meaning the base cabinets would be a different colour from the overhead cabinets. The existing pine look-a-like worktop was dated, and they wanted to upgrade to a new white quartz surface. Our ‘top that fits on top’ overlay worktops and replacement kitchen doors were the perfect solution for this.
This stunning kitchen makeover features sparkling Hydra White Quartz worktops, with a splashback of Metropolis Amber Glass Mosaic Tiles to accent this. The old overhead doors have been replaced with new made-to-measure, Ultra gloss Glacier White and the base cabinet doors are in Ultra gloss Japanese Pear. The floors have been made to match the worktops, with floor tiles of 300mm x 600mm Hydra White Quartz, etherium® by E-stone, manufactured in our factory in Sebring, Florida.
Visiting the Showroom
When the customer visited our showroom, we were able to work with them to make a mood board using samples of different colours and products which helped allow the customer to explore the desired overall look, feel and tone of the kitchen makeover project. What makes this kitchen makeover project so interesting is that this is the first customer to have our brand-new kitchen worktop colour “Rivulet” installed
The Finish Product
The kitchen sink is often one of the last things to be planned into a kitchen makeover. With the colours of the cabinets, the worktop and the floor have been decided, it was important that the sink fitted with the overall design. Choosing a granite sink can make that choice simpler because Blanco, Silgranit offers a large choice of colours. For this project a Silgranit White Classic Neo was selected so it blended in with the Hydra White quartz worksurface.
The Kitchen splashback needed to be chic and sleek whilst offering wall protection. For this project adding colour, pattern and texture to the kitchen walls was a priority for the customers overall design. We used Trend Metropolis Amber Glass Mosaic Tiles to accent this splashback.
This make-over took only two and a half days to complete thanks to our skilled installers and easy-to-use products. The customer is now looking to update their utility room too.
