Kitchen Redesign Project Bringing Fresh Life to a Client’s Home

The team at TREND Transformations Newcastle West were approached by the daughter of a recent customer. The daughter had moved into their house a couple of years ago, but the kitchen wasn’t to their taste. They didn’t want to go through the disruption and cost of ripping out the kitchen and starting again as there was nothing wrong with the original kitchen.

In the project brief the customer stated that they hated the dark granite worktops and felt they always looked unclean, even when they had just been cleaned. Armed with this knowledge our design team put together a proposal that ticked all the right boxes.

The customer’s mum recently had their kitchen worktops replaced by TREND Transformations Newcastle West. Having already seen our work first-hand the customer had no doubts that we could bring their kitchen redesign dream to life. They loved the concept of not ripping out the existing kitchen units and just giving things a makeover.

During the planning phase the customer provided the design team with many Pinterest images. This gave the team at TREND Transformations Newcastle West a good idea of what the customer was looking for. The team provided the customer with some different door samples to look at possible colour combinations. The customer wanted the island dark and the rest of the kitchen units light. They wanted white worktops so we had a few different ones with us to look at alongside the doors.

The customer wanted to breathe new life into their kitchen, this required a full kitchen makeover from worktops to appliances. To achieve this the TREND Transformations Newcastle West team used our bright and light Hydra White surfaces as a worktop and splashback, complemented by our Richmond doors in Matt Indigo Blue & Matt Dove Grey. Our team’s eye for detail extends to all the accessories and appliances including a Chrome Fusion 3 Litre Quooker Tap and Chrome Slim D handles.

Once the colour combinations were chosen the plan pretty much stayed the same. The team at TREND Transformations Newcastle West did provide the customer with some options such as keeping the oven unit as it is or replacing all 4 ovens / converting into a cupboard.
