Helpful links for turning your kitchen into a classroom

Posted on 30th March 2020

Home schooling in the kitchen doesn’t have to be hard or frustrating, but often it is.   Many parents have now been thrown into home schooling due to the COVID-19 pandemic and have developed a newfound respect for teachers.

As home school parents, we often try to make each experience “educational” in a traditional textbook way, however we can lose sight of our end goal. Education does not have to be based purely around classroom subjects focussing on Maths and English, why not spend time teaching some life skills like cooking?  Most importantly through this time focus on creating memories, your children will look back on these times in the future and tell their children about this moment in history and what they learnt while they were at home.
