Replace or Reface – The Smarter Way to Renovate

Are you fed up with looking at the same old cabinets and worktops but don’t fancy the disruption and mess involved with a whole new kitchen or bathroom renovation? We hear you.

Sometimes you just don’t have the energy or inclination for such a massive upheaval in your life. Or maybe you simply don’t have the time. If that’s the case, then it’s much quicker, neater, and smarter to reface than replace.

And that’s precisely what we can offer you here at Granite and TREND Transformations. When it comes to a kitchen or bathroom renovation, we have the key to getting a whole new look without the hassle but with stunning quality and design.

Refacing your kitchen or bathroom cabinets

Your kitchen cabinets are such a focal point of your kitchen that changing them can alter the whole look of the room – even if you don’t do anything else to it. But replacing an entire kitchen cabinet range can be expensive and messy. Instead of replacing the entire structure of all your cabinets in a room, with Granite and TREND Transformations, you can just change the cupboard doors, drawers and handles. Not only can you introduce an attractive new design and colour, bringing them more up to date, but you also save yourself the mess of having all the cupboards ripped out. And a further benefit is that it doesn’t impact the environment in the same way, as you’re using less wood by keeping your original unit boxes and just refacing the doors.

At Granite and TREND Transformations, we can install your kitchen or bathroom cabinets in just a couple of days. Regardless of whether you are looking for a classic kitchen design look with neutral tones and clean lines, a traditional country style or a bold, new contemporary look, we have many designs and styles to choose from. In fact, you can select from up to 90 different colour shades and 30 styles of kitchen cabinet doors and drawers. You can also opt for varying door finishes, such as gloss, woodgrain, stone and metallic, painted, or solid wood.

Pros of cabinet and drawer refacing

  • Much less mess – cabinets don’t have to be constructed from scratch
  • Far less expensive – replacing just the front of your cabinets and keeping your original structures
  • A lot less waste going to landfill
  • Much faster – all done within a couple of days

Refacing kitchen and bathroom worktops – The top that fits on top

If  you are looking for a new-look kitchen or bathroom, without the hassle or disruption, you can also opt for a kitchen worktop overlay. That’s because we provide beautiful new quartz, recycled glass and granite overlay worktops that fit on top of your existing surface.

These sleek, sophisticated surfaces are slim and light at just one-quarter of an inch thick. But don’t be fooled into thinking they are flimsy. Far from it – they are far tougher than stone. And, to assure you of their top-notch quality, we issue each individual worktop with a 10-year warranty.

made-to-measure

Made to measure worktop surfaces

All our etherium® By E-Stone surfaces are made-to-measure, meaning we ensure they fit perfectly over your existing one, and no worktop is the same as another. If you’d prefer a chunkier appearance for your kitchen or bathroom renovation, we can help too. Because our surfaces are customised, we can build them to your specification. We can even add waterfall ends rather than straight edges if that suits the design of your kitchen or bathroom renovation better.

Just like when refacing the kitchen cabinets, there won’t be much mess or waste because we won’t be stripping out the original worktop. Instead, we will fit it on top of your existing worktop, bonding it permanently to the original.

Various worktop surfaces

The type of worktop surface you choose will depend, of course, on the colour and style of your cabinetry. However, with over 30 colours ranging from neutral, white, blue, grey, black and marble patterned, we think you will find one just for you, whether the design is classic, traditional or contemporary.

From Shaker to Country-style or trendy high-gloss, our kitchen or bathroom surfaces prove incredibly compatible. Immaculately engineered from granite, quartz, even recycled glass, they’ll be a great asset for your kitchen or bathroom renovation. Our current designs include the Trascenda® and the White Collection. The latter comes in ivory, warm white and white-grey shades, while the former has patterned and marble effects. The Portland Silver is perfect for an industrial design look in a kitchen or bathroom.

Recycled glass worktops

Our recycled glass worktops are extremely popular. Not only do they look impressive, but they are also highly environmentally friendly. Our eco-conscious customers love the fact they are comprised of up to 72% percent recycled glass. They are available in shades of white, grey, ivory, and black, as well as in a concrete or marble effect.

Granite and quartz worktops

Inspired by Italian artisans, granite and quartz overlay worktops are surfaces that bring texture and elegance to any kitchen or bathroom renovation. Both are neutral enough combinations to blend in beautifully with your existing furnishings and colour scheme but, at the same time, retain an aspect of individuality to provide an interesting contrast.

With an appearance that matches that of the authentic stone materials, it is possible to have a beautiful granite overlay surface without the maintenance that often accompanies solid stone worktops, which can crack or stain when presented with too much heat, a heavy implement, or a spilt drink. In contrast, our surfaces are heat, scratch, and stain-resistant and come with built-in Microban® antibacterial protection.
